The Proposal.

The greatest day of my life started the morning of December 23, 2010.  Up until this date MDavid, my fiance, had kept our destination on the coast a secret. We started our drive up the California coast line from Petaluma, CA. We got going pretty early so that we could make a stop in Mendocino.  I had always wanted to see Mendocino and it was the perfect opportunity to stop!

Mendocino is a gorgeous little town on the Northern Coast of California.  We took Churro, our dog, to play at the beach for a little bit and we could walk around.  There was a nice little cove that was perfect for Churro to run around in and he LOVES the beach. After a little snack we got on our way and headed up the coast.

The Northern California coast line is an absolutely beautiful view! If you ever get the chance to drive up 101 and Hwy 1, I would definitely recommend it. Unless of course you get car sick.  But lot's of beautiful beaches, cliffs and redwoods. Definitely a drive to remember.  Including a dinosaur park, Babe the Blue Ox and Paul Bunyon!

After a little more driving we finally arrived in Eureka, CA our secret destination. We got to the Carter House B & B, which is absolutely beautiful place.  We checked into our room which was just gorgeous and dog friendly! We opened up a small bottle of wine celebrating our arrival.  Churro received a blanket and dog bowl as apart of the dog package at Carter House. He loved the blanket!

We were pretty hungry once we arrived.  So we headed over to our favorite brewery, Lost Coast Brewery! We got our testers, which was 40 oz. of beer, and ate some appetizers! I have to admit, I think MDavid was a little worried about me drinking that much prior to him proposing. But we just got a little buzz and had a great time!

After Lost Coast Brewery we headed back to the hotel and got ready for dinner.  I curled my hair and put on a pretty dress!  The dress I got was very cute and pretty.  I got it locally in Sacramento from the Sugar Shack.  Super excited about it!  Anyways, after we got ready we walked over to the restaurant that was apart of the hotel. This place was AMAZING! They have a garden that they grow all of their vegetables from.  It was small but very nice.  We got seated at the best table with a great view of our B & B.  We ordered a few drinks.  MDavid had then asked if I had the Flip with me.  Because up until this point we had been filming several parts of our trip along the coast.  So it was nothing out of the ordinary that he had wanted it.  So we he started filming showing the restaurant and our hotel as well as me :)  He then handed the camera over to me and grabbed a very white little box out of his pocket got down on one knee right beside me and well....I'll just let you watch the video :)

So after the proposal we were SOOO excited! I could barely eat and enjoy my food I was so excited! I had 3 glasses of alcohol sitting in front of me.  Including a glass of champagne, my favorite.  We called all of our family members, texted and called our friends, and of course announced it on facebook! The night continued with celebrating and enjoying our dinner.  I couldn't be happier that I am marrying my best friend and love of my life. We are in complete bliss!

Welcome!

Recently my man and I got engaged. YAY! The rest of my life will be spent with my best friend, workout partner, cooking buddy, and roomie.  I am the luckiest girl in the world! Which brings me to the point of this blog!

I wanted to have a place to write my thoughts, share ideas and write out ways of planning a wedding, a business, and a life. Our wedding is set for 9-10-11 and the process has only just started. I also own my own business called Nerdy Dogs, you can see it at NerdyDogs.com! We make homemade dog treats and rope toys.  I am still in the first year of business, so lot's to learn and lot's to plan!

Many things to plan this year and I am excited to share it!
